I started my floor loom weaving education taking private lessons with a Master Weaver. From there I have gone on to take numerous classes with national and international instructors, in textile weaving, basket making and related courses. I am keenly interested in the use of colour in craft, and have done extensive research into this subject.
I have been teaching and lecturing at the College, local, and private level since 1980. My main areas of focus are textiles and basket weaving, and the use of colour. I like to concentrate on functional items, using original or traditional patterns.
As well, I have been hand making and selling soap, developing my own recipes, since the early 1980′s.
